Workshop - Apéro: The Art of Fermentation
NEW DATES HERE IN CHAMPAGNE, NEAR YVERDON-LES-BAINS:

Duration: 4h, price: 100.00/person. All materials and vegetables provided. You leave with two jars to ferment at home and a jar of your choice from our Fermentierra assortment.
email: laurent@fermentierra.com for further information
Our workshops are a great way to discover the art of lacto-fermentation. Everyone can get their hands dirty and let their fears of the new fermenter dissolve, like salt in water.
We'll teach you the basics. Cut, salt and pack. Without a moment's hesitation, science begins to brew in the heart of a carbonic magma. As you uncork a sparkling bottle, we give you ideas and tastes, colors and textures. Around the cutting boards, we'll show you the range of practices that will enable you to create jars with a unique taste.
We supply the jars, vegetables and spices. Everyone leaves with their own living cultures.

If you'd like to organize an in-home workshop, we'd be delighted to come and run it for you. All you need is between 6 and 10 people. We'll bring all the equipment you need, so that everyone can leave with their own jars and valuable information to help them get started with lacto-fermentation at home. Duration: 3h30, price: 110.00/person + travel expenses

Testimonial after a workshop with the complete "aperitif-meal-concert" package
"They arrive with their jars, their spices, their magic ingredients, they show up with their enthusiasm, their passion for lacto-fermentation, they cook, they share, they make you discover these bacteria that transform food into beneficial gas factories, they talk about it and you already love them, even before you've tasted it! You taste it, surprise, it's different... and it's good, this aperitif like no other! Then you lovingly prepare a jar of vegetables with several hands, listen to the little instructions and look forward to the pschitt that you'll hear in a few days' time as you pull on the jar's elastic band... Then you sit down at the table for real, an explosion of confusing, powerful and delicious flavours - lacto-fermented food rocks!
And then comes the concert, the world of Sam Laurent inviting itself into your living room, a butterfly, a horse, a slipper, a whole world... disconcerting, powerful, delicious, it tears a guitar and a drum apart!
They leave, but the house still vibrates with their music and their joy, and a few days later the little bubbles in the jar, pschitt, and a few weeks later billions of happy bacteria invited onto your plates, yum, the living sparkling like an echo of this evening like no other...".
